This position will assist the organization in prioritizing and implementing programs related to 340B operations, program development, and compliance in coordination with pharmacy leadership. Covered areas include hospital outpatient services, hospital-based practices, on-site ambulatory pharmacy operations, contract pharmacy operations, etc. This role will perform routine auditing of all 340B areas and systems to assure compliance with federal regulations related to the program.
Bachelors degree in business administration, health administration, or related field required OR Pharmacist (BS/PharmD) with 340B program administration experience required.
3 to 5 years of related experience required (pharmacy operations within a health system and/or consultant or manager at a healthcare consulting organization), including at least 2 years practical experience with 340B program operations and compliance considerations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Excellent oral and written communication and critical thinking skills.
Strong leadership qualities including the ability to motivate, teach, and facilitate individuals and groups, including peers.
In depth knowledge and understanding of 340B drug program, including ability to interpret various regulations and standards.
Ability to manage projects.
Highly developed analytical skills, including knowledge of basic accounting and budgeting and the ability to monitor financial performance to budget.
Advanced Excel skills.
Working knowledge of pharmacy/healthcare billing practices.
In depth knowledge and understanding of multiple pharmacy operation areas (inpatient, retail, infusion, inventory operations, etc.)
Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or other related discipline preferred.
340B ACE certification preferred.
